Pounded Flower Cards

A few years ago I read an article by Martha Stewart where she introduced the idea of pounding flowers to add color and design to dish cloths. While I never thought the color would last a washing I really loved the idea.

This summer while helping my mom in her gardens I gathered pieces that she planned to toss away - mostly pansies. I brought them home and thought I'd try the pounding technique that Martha introduced but on paper instead of cloth. Here are my results. Not bad!
