This is my mom. Isn't she just the cutest?
You might notice the handle of a wheelchair glistening in the sunshine... she hates that part of this photo.
This photo was taken on the day we brought her home from a long summer of convalescing at a nursing home. She was there to recuperate after having a knee replaced that eventually became infected. She had an amazing doctor who didn't stop trying things to get that infection out of her body. This doctor saved her leg - literally.
Today I'm picking mom up and we're going to lunch and then doing a little Christmas shopping together. She's so excited she's already called twice. :)
I am thankful that we don't need to use that old wheelchair today - or any other day - as she's walking again just fine. Though, I do plan to hang on to her little body while we trudge through the snow today, in search of the perfect gifts for the men in our lives.
Have a wonderful day my friends. And, if you can, hug your mom. Love her like there's no tomorrow for it's promised to no one.

If you're Christmas shopping who is going to ger your students enrolled in classes? Oh, wait. That's right. Your student is my student. We'll just make Joe do it. : )
