A Long Summer Day

Earlier this summer I was invited to a private show in the landscaped yard of a woman who met me at last year's North West Burbs Art Crawl. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect but she sought me out because she liked my work... so I went.

The day was perfect for an outdoor event like this, and, more than likely... for many other activities because traffic was low and not many people were out art shopping. There were about 9 or 10 of us artists displaying our wares on Saturday in Coon Rapids. It really was lovely to look at.

Though the day was long and warm, I had the chance to meet some very interesting new people, network with other artists and make some changes to my display ideas.

I am so lucky to have Jeff helping me at each show I attend. He's wonderful at helping me haul my stuff back and forth, packing the car using his never failing Eagle Scout training, and his marketing and display ideas are always coming when he experiences other artists and their displays. I appreciate his help so much! I really couldn't do this without him.

Here is a little photo of my tent. It's pretty simple compared to other artists, but I like it.

Hey....I recognize that tent. But where is the bag of cords?

Oh yeah. It got lost at the 3-day garage sale.
